I am primarily a theatre, voice over, and educational actor who also does commercial and industrial on-camera work.
Having played piano since I was 4, it was natural for me to start my acting career in musical theatre. However, after taking a year-long Meisner training program at The Waterfront Playhouse and Conservatory, I discovered a love for "the Talkies" as well. Though I often get to enjoy playing comedic roles, I also have a deep love for using theatre as a means to explore the shadows of society and the Self.
I have been cast frequently in both traditional and cross-cast roles, have portrayed characters ranging in age from their twenties to their eighties, have been called upon often to use accents within my work, and have been the talking role in musicals and the musical role in straight plays.
I love using inventive means to tell stories, and have appreciated watching and being a part of shows that use costume, set, sound, voice, and movement creatively, conveying the story to an audience as a full-sensory experience. While I appreciate and apply the technical aspects of acting, both in my work and as a theatre-goer my hope is that the technical elements are used adroitly, so that audiences are gifted a deeply human, emotionally moving experience.
